Proenza Schouler was established in New York in 2002. Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough met at the Parsons School of Design and founded the brand when they worked together on their senior thesis. The company takes its name from the maiden names of its founders mothers. It began designing clothing and accessories for women before moving into fragrances. This scent takes its inspiration from the Sonoran Desert of Arizona both in how it smells and the design of the bottle. It is a pale pink liquid in an asymmetrical glass bottle with a heavy black lid.
