Betty Boop Princess Perfume by Betty Boop, The powdery, citrusy blend of the Betty Boop Princess perfume was originally launched in 2011. The top accords are pink grapefruit, bergamot and refreshing sea notes. In the heart are lovely white florals including gardenia, jasmine and rose. The deep base notes are musk, amber, sandalwood and vanilla.
This fragrance is inspired by the popular American cartoon character Betty Boop. She was created by Max Fleischer and animator Grim Natwick for Paramount Pictures and Fleischer Studios. This character is known for her high-pitched voice and the Boop Oop a Doop" catchphrase. She is featured in a multitude of television shows and movies with her own wide collection of merchandise.
The character was developed in the 1920s mainly as a caricature of the popular actress Helen Kane, "Boop-Boop-a-Doop Girl. However, it was later discovered that Kanes performance was greatly influenced by a similar African American performer known as Baby Esther. Today, the character is generally considered a conglomeration of many early 20th century flapper girls.
